Content Creator series workstation, featuring a powerful Core i7-12700 (12C/20 T) processor, 8 GB GeForce RTX 3070Ti graphics card and fast 32GB (2x16) DDR4 3600 MHz RAM, is optimized for professional performance with any audio and photo processing software available today. The system delivers impressive performance in 4K and even higher resolution video processing as well as 3D modelling and rendering.

Working with audio

The Creative series workstation meets and exceeds the recommended requirements of the most popular sound processing and music production tools, so it can be safely used in sound studios to create high-quality audio content in FL Studio, Ableton Live, Reason, Cubase, SOUND FORGE, Adobe Audition, Audacity and other sound processing software (DAW). The extensive range of internal and external ports allows you to add professional-grade sound cards, MIDI and DJ controllers, as well as other accessories and musical instruments to the system.

Photo processing

The most popular photo editors (Adobe, Corel, CyberLink, etc.) increasingly include features and effects that support graphic acceleration. During acceleration, calculations are performed by video cards, which are many times faster than CPUs due to their parallel computing capabilities. For this purpose, a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti with 8 GB GDDR6X memory and 6144 compute (CUDA) cores is installed in the PC.As we mentioned earlier, the video card is becoming increasingly important for photo processing, but for now the hardest work is still on the CPU, so this system features the powerful and advanced 12 Core i7-12700 processor with 25 MB cache, 3.60 GHz base and 5.00 GHz turbo frequency. This will allow you to use all the features of Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop and Illustrator quickly and without unpleasant delays.

Video editing and post-processing

As with photo processing, the central processing unit (CPU) does the heavy lifting when rendering video material. If you survey ten people who have tried editing a video at least once in their lives, whether with Windows Movie Maker, Premiere Pro, MAGIX Vegas or other software, at least nine will find that the most frustrating part of the whole process is the rendering, which, depending on the video resolution and the effects used in the editing, most often takes longer than the video itself.

The time required to export the edited material depends on a number of system parameters - processor architecture, cache, clock frequency, RAM size and speed - but the number of cores makes the biggest difference - the more cores, the shorter the time it takes to render the video. Core i7-12700 12 cored Creative workstation delivers the best performance for video processing tasks in its price segment. You may be wondering why Creative a workstation is running a gaming-ready GeForce RTX 3070Ti video card instead of a professional-grade NVIDIA Quadro or AMD FirePro. The truth is that video cards designed for gaming are more affordable and provide much better overall performance when we include the different possible applications (photo and video processing, 3D modelling, gaming, etc.) in the calculations. And there's no need to be ashamed of taking a break from the workflow to play a demanding PC game - GeForce RTX 3070Ti makes this possible, unlike Quadro cards. The amount and speed of RAM plays an equally important role in video processing. To handle complex 1080p and 4K projects freely and without slowdown, the system includes a massive 3600 MHz 32GB (2x16) DDR4 memory, which can even be doubled if needed thanks to the free memory sockets on the H670 (DDR4) motherboard.

CAD design and 3D modelling

The most popular 3D tools today, Autodesk 3ds Max, Maya, Revit, Lumion and Cinema 4D, can only use one core effectively during the model creation, modification and animation process, so the processor clock frequency plays a particularly important role during these operations - the higher it is, the smoother the work will run. The same applies to AutoCAD, Inventor and Revit architecture and design software.

In contrast, in model rendering (Arnold, Mental Ray, V-Ray, Keyshot, etc.) it is the number of cores that has a significant impact on the time taken to export the material, which is why often in large corporations employees are provided with separate workstations for modelling, while the rendering processes are executed on separate systems, popularly known as render farms.

This Content Creator has a Core i7-12700 processor with a maximum clock frequency of 5.00 GHz, which allows the simulation processes to run smoothly and seamlessly. And the high core count (12 cores / 20 threads) helps render complex 3D models. The performance of the graphics card is also important for the smooth display of any 3D content - our GeForce RTX 3070Ti 8 GB is more than sufficient for this. For the applications listed, the recommended RAM is between 8GB and 16GB, so the included 32GB (2x16) DDR4 3600 MHz RAM in the configuration has plenty of headroom to perform these tasks professionally.

Advantages of a desktop computer

Mobile processors and graphics cards have become more powerful in the last couple of years but the difference between the performance of a laptop and a desktop PC is still marginal. OfCourse you can run modern games and even professional photo and video editing software on a laptop but at the same price point a desktop computer will offer more performance than a laptop at almost any task.

In our experience insufficient cooling is also a serious problem in laptops and there’s an easy explanation – users want their devices to be powerful yet thin and light which is almost an impossible combination to achieve. Most consumers and manufacturers prefer design and mobility over performance, which results in a visually attractive product that heats up rapidly after just few minutes or even seconds after putting an increased load on the main components. Laptop fans start spinning faster to cope with the excessive heat. This increases the noise and is very often not effective enough, so the CPU and/or GPU reaches its temperature limit and the thermal throttling (self-preservation by significantly lowering the clock speed) kicks in. That results in a big loss of performance.

You don’t have to worry about overheating when you purchase our Creative series desktop PC. We have installed optimal 360mm Liquid Cooler which will make sure that the Core i7-12700 processor delivers its advertised performance without overheating. The temperature and noise levels will remain at a comfortable level all the time.
